Sunday on our Family Trip

Today we got up and got ready to go to church. We had called the night before to see where the closest LDS church was and they told us there was one at 11:00 about 5 minutes away. Well that was perfect.

As we were walking in we were right on time. We looked around and noticed that a lot of the people going in the building were Hispanic. Well earlier we had mentioned how much fun it would be to go to another religion for church. I guess we must have jinxed ourselves because this was a Spanish Branch that we were about to attend.

We sat down and a lot of people were looking at us kind of funny. The meeting started and Skyler, Britt, and I were getting a few words here and there but Bryce and my mom were lost. Dad could actually understand a lot of it. It must have been our lucky day because there was a missionary right behind mom who tapped her on the shoulder and asked if we would like some headphones. Of course she said yes. We got three sets but one didn't work. Bryce and mom got them and shared them with Britt and I. Skyler was just content to sit and listen and try to understand what they were saying. The older missionary couple spoke in English with a translator for the Spanish members and just the opposite for those who gave talks in Spanish. When it was over Skyler had commented that he knew that was where he was suppose to be today. I think the Lord works in mysterious ways.

After church we went back to the hotel and changed our clothes and then drove around to see some of the temples.

Oquirrh Mountain Utah Mormon Temple
The first one we saw was the Oquirrah Mountain temple.

Then the Draper Temple

And our last temple was the Jordan River Temple.

We had a picnic at a little park with a baseball field.

It was nice and shady and peaceful.

What a pleasant day.
