Skyler's Farewell

Today was an amazing day. It was Skyler's Farewell. Everything went as planned. We had so many people come to the farewell and the luncheon afterwards. I know that the Lord was looking out for us on this very special day. Skyler gave an amazing talk in church. Lots of people told us afterwards that he sounded more like this was his homecoming address instead of his farewell. Brittanee and I also sang "His Outstretched Arms" accompanied by Bryce. I never sing in church so Skyler better feel pretty special. I think it went pretty good however, because people kept telling us that we sounded like Angels. President Hobbs was the other speaker and you could feel the spirit so strong when he spoke. Everyone enjoyed the farewell.

Then we hurried home and started getting the luncheon ready. First we served all our family members. Then around 12:30 the ward members started showing up. We had BBQ pork on rolls, lots of different salads and chips. For dessert we had brownies, eclairs and cream puffs. It turned out so good.

Brittanee and I were given the title of camera girls for the afternoon and it was our responsibility to capture the day on video and camera.

Later that night Skyler had an interview with Bishop Sainsbury. I can't believe in 3 days Skyler will be on a mission. We are so proud of him and his decision to serve the Lord.
