SURPRISE!!!

Did I ever mention how wonderful my husband is?? We haven't seen my family since the wedding. I have been missing them a ton lately, so Bryce decided to surprise me with a visit up north. However, he isn't very good with keeping surprises secret. He was going to wait and tell me where we were going once we were on the road, but he let it slip out on Tuesday. I was so excited, I jumped off the couch and couldn't stop screaming! We decided to keep it a secret from my family and it was a huge success. On the drive down I was so excited I couldn't contain myself. Bryce said I was bouncing around like a little kid on Christmas, this was bigger than Christmas to me though. When we arrived we decided to knock on the door and wait for someone to open it. My brother did and kept screaming "Are you serious?" my little sister ran up the stairs faster than I've ever seen, and my mom started crying. We surprised my dad later when he got home from work and he did a double take then asked everyone if they knew we were coming. It was an awesome surprise!! Mission accomplished thanks to my AMAZING husband! I love you!!!

Bryce's hair is getting so long, he really needed a haircut! My aunt Kathy, the beautician, wasn't there so I decided there is a first for everything. It wasn't amazing, but it turned out okay.

This was a perfect weekend for us to visit. My brother, Skyler, is a senior this year and had his senior ball and seminary graduation this weekend. Everyone was super busy, but our family is always busy and running around so we're pretty used to it.
I love this picture... it's adorable. My mom is gorgeous and my brother is such a stud!!!

Skyler finally has a brother now!!!
More bars, in more places.... kinda

I was so grateful we were able to stay long enough to watch Sky give a talk at seminary graduation. He did an amazing job, as always.

Hi-Los Videos

So I was bored one day and playing on youtube when I discovered dance videos from my senior year posted. I just had to share them on the blog since dancing is such a huge part of my life.

In order to share them I had to link them to the page, so if you want to watch them just click on the words (military, jazz or hip-hop) below.... Enjoy

The vidoes are our military, jazz and hip-hop routines. Our military was awarded the highest score of the whole day at one competition, our jazz routine placed first in most competitions and our hip-hop routine won first place at Nationals in Florida. That year we won first place at every competition!!!

Tending Trevy

My cute little nephew, Trevin, came over to my house for a few hours. We played legos, read a magazine, and then we decided to make cookies as a surprise for Bryce when he got home from school.Trev wanted to pour in and mix all the ingredients. He stirred the spoon about twice and then said he was tired and that was enough mixing
Isn't he adorable?

"Cookies see?"

Homemade Pizza Date

Bryce and I were tired of doing the traditional dates ie. dinner and a movie, on our "date night" so we decided to stay in for the night and make homemade pizza. Well homemade dough from a box :)During the process we had to decorate our faces in flour war paint

Our delicious pizza. Yes, there is meat on it, but we covered it in all that cheese...yum

Bryce couldn't wait to dive in... literally
I'm really surprised it actually turned out

Angels Landing Date

We finally had a free weekend... YAY. Bryce has been so busy with his medical school applications, but he's almost done and it will be worth all the time and effort once he gets in. Anyway, with our free weekend we decided to go to Zions National Park and go hike Angels Landing. While we were hiking up to the top we found various little caves cut into the rock. Of course we had to take a picture inside one.
When we took this picture we were trying to show all the scenery in the background, but it really looks like Bryce is going to fall off the rock.
"Walter's Wigglies"- supposedly the hardest part of the whole hike
Looking down on Walter's Wigglies. Bryce and I decided it wasn't too bad if we just got up them as fast as we could.
Eating lunch on the top of Angels Landing
The view from the top
Wow... look how high up we are. It was so cool and had an amazing view!!!We went with one of Bryce's friends, Gary, and his wife, Jasha. Gary is also applying to medical school.
This squirrel was hilarious. My camera died right after this picture, but the squirrel worked his head inside of Bryce's backpack. We were lucky he didn't steal anything from us. The squirrel ran off with another guy's wallet and someone else's granola bar. Little thief!!!
Angels Landing was so much fun. We had a great time getting away, relaxing, and spending the day with each other.

Life as Mr. and Mrs.

Now that I am done adding all of our wedding stuff I can finally write about things that we are doing now... YAY!!! Bryce and I love being married! When people ask us "How's married life?" we always respond with "Marriage is a wonderful institution... we highly recommend it." Thanks Walmart employee for giving us that quote! Here are half of our presents from the reception and open house.
Here are the rest. The day after the open house we had our families come to our new apartment to watch us open our gifts, see our new place, and to eat pizza. It was so much fun, but it was really hard to say goodbye, especially to our family that lives in Logan.
My grandma made this adorable key holder. It was our first decoration we put up in the apartment.
My cousins gave us this cute wall decor. Bryce was so patient with me as I kept telling him that it wasn't straight and asked if he could move it a little bit. He worked on it for an hour and a half, but it looks great and we've already had some compliments on it :)Did I ever mention how much I love this boy? I was getting ready and the next thing I know he's cleaning the house. I didn't have to ask or anything :)
Aren't these roses gorgeous? Bryce gave them to me for our one month anniversary. It's cool because when we put them in the vase they looked like they were in the shape of a heart.

Open House

On April 23, 2010 we had an open house in Cedar City for all our friends and family living there. Our cake display
Bryce's oldest brother, Shawn, played a song on the piano for us to dance to.

My roommates, Cindy and Emily
When we didn't have guests coming through the line, we were a little bored. Can you tell?
