Graduation and Idaho Falls

Bryce and I went to Logan this past weekend to see my brother graduated from Logan High. I can't believe he is graduating! What happened to my LITTLE brother? As you can see he's grown a lot bigger than I have.

Typical Carters

This year the graduation was held in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. In years past it was in the Kent Concert Hall so each graduate had 4 tickets to invite guests. This year Skyler could have any many people come as he would like. He is very loved!

After the graduation our family went to Idaho Falls to watch my cousins, Wyatt and Beau, play in their baseball tournaments. While the boys were warming up we took a walk to the Idaho Falls Temple. It was beautiful! As you drive past you can see waterfalls emptying into the Snake River.

MCAT

All the hard work finally paid off!!! Bryce took the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) May 1st and had to wait until June 1st to get his scores back. Bryce has worked so hard in school, taking extremely hard class schedules, these past few years and he finally gets to see the results. We were hoping for a 27 on the MCAT, and Bryce got a 30!!!! I am so proud of him and we are so excited!! After the scores were posted we applied to medical schools. We could be living anywhere next year. We applied to schools in Pennsylvania, Iowa, Nebraska, Florida, Arizona, Illinois, Missouri, and Utah.
Soon to be Dr. Carter in his scrubs volunteering at the E.R.

Bryce was at work when he found out his scores so we only got to celebrate over the phone for a few minutes. I was so proud of him and decided to make a cake so we could really celebrate when he got home. The 30 is his MCAT score (not his age) and the top is covered with Reeses because that is Bryce's favorite candy bar.

A Stud and A Babe

A few weeks ago my brother performed "A Stud and A Babe" at his PKG, singing performance. Bryce and I saw the video last weekend and we couldn't stop laughing!!! I love it, so I decided to share it on my blog.

SURPRISE!!!

Did I ever mention how wonderful my husband is?? We haven't seen my family since the wedding. I have been missing them a ton lately, so Bryce decided to surprise me with a visit up north. However, he isn't very good with keeping surprises secret. He was going to wait and tell me where we were going once we were on the road, but he let it slip out on Tuesday. I was so excited, I jumped off the couch and couldn't stop screaming! We decided to keep it a secret from my family and it was a huge success. On the drive down I was so excited I couldn't contain myself. Bryce said I was bouncing around like a little kid on Christmas, this was bigger than Christmas to me though. When we arrived we decided to knock on the door and wait for someone to open it. My brother did and kept screaming "Are you serious?" my little sister ran up the stairs faster than I've ever seen, and my mom started crying. We surprised my dad later when he got home from work and he did a double take then asked everyone if they knew we were coming. It was an awesome surprise!! Mission accomplished thanks to my AMAZING husband! I love you!!!

Bryce's hair is getting so long, he really needed a haircut! My aunt Kathy, the beautician, wasn't there so I decided there is a first for everything. It wasn't amazing, but it turned out okay.

This was a perfect weekend for us to visit. My brother, Skyler, is a senior this year and had his senior ball and seminary graduation this weekend. Everyone was super busy, but our family is always busy and running around so we're pretty used to it.
I love this picture... it's adorable. My mom is gorgeous and my brother is such a stud!!!

Skyler finally has a brother now!!!
More bars, in more places.... kinda

I was so grateful we were able to stay long enough to watch Sky give a talk at seminary graduation. He did an amazing job, as always.
