On Saturday, we drove up to Malad to my uncle's house and went tubing and rode snowmobiles. When we first got there it was a rainy, wet snow and it didn't look like it was going to be a very good day so we set up lunch in Tracey's shed and had BBQ, pasta salad, chips and dips and cookies and of course hot chocolate. It kept us all warm plus we had two heaters going.
Ready for some fun.
Some of the kids ate outside
And some just played on the swings.
Paislee was so cute.
What a little trooper!
Then it stopped raining and snowing so we finished getting dressed and headed out to the snow covered field.
Skyler and Paislee found their own little hill
There was a big hill for tubing.
Everyone stood around to watch because my mom thought she was going to die, I mean look who is in the back pushing her. Little brother ready to get revenge!!!
We also had sledders
Paybacks!
What is the worst part of sledding??? I will tell you... It is having to walk back up the huge hill you just rode down. Luckily, we had a few snowmobile drivers ready for us at the bottom of the hill. It doesn't get any better than this!!!!
You could tell these three drivers were all related.
They all drove exactly the same, CRAZY!
And some of us were brave enough to ride behind those crazy drivers!
We also had snow boarders.
And even some lessons!
I think this was the hardest time for my grandma. She is usually out there doing everything that we are doing, but this year she had surgery on her shoulder and she wasn't supposed to do very much with it. What a great patient to listen to her doctor.
Paislee rode with everybody!
Especially her dad, but towards the middle of the day we lost her for a little while.
Skyler tried to run and jump on his tube to get some speed but all he ended up doing was face planting it right into the snow! It was hilarious!!!!
We had some who just went for a leisure ride . . .
And then we had a race . . .
But some of the drivers turned into rebels who barely came back alive.
Notice the hat turned backwards.
Check out that cute black and white hat and pink goggles that grandpa is wearing! He still thinks he's young and sexy.
The wildest rides of the day were when these brave masked soles got on these sleds behind the snowmobile driven by no other than Tracey, the wild man himself.
And this is how they returned.
At the end of the day some of us were just glad to still be alive!!!!
We had a great day just being together as family.
Memories like this will last forever.
